ACU/FSRA British F2 Championship, Brands Hatch, 11/12/13 April.

With the brake gremlin now despatched we hoped for a better result for Roy and Dave.
After qualifying they were 9th on the grid, but only 1 second covered 5th to 12th.
In the Sunday 15 lap race they were struck with a slipping clutch for the last 5 laps which let the following two outfits close within 0.8 sec at the line. With the demise of Holden/Winkle they took 7th place, with a fastest lap of 52.197.

With new plates for the Monday race, they were straight into 7th from the line and gradually pulled a gap on his followers, closing on the two Iresons before Coombes/Knapton got by Dongworth/Partridge, the race was stopped on their 10th lap and the race declared a result, so another 7th place with a slightly quicker lap at 52.165 sec.

Next Championship meeting May 4/5th at Cadwell Park, thoughts are already gearing up for the TT.

ACU/FSRA British F2 Championship, Donington Park, Mar 28/29.

Looking to carry on where they left off last season, Roy and Dave were dogged by a brake boiling problem throughout the whole weekend.
With four practice sessions and four 10 lap races, (invited to ride for the Isle of Man in the Six Nations), every session and race had pedal feel problems, despite changing discs, fluid and pads over the week-end.
Qualifying in 13th and with an 8th and 10th in the championship with two 8th places in the Moto-Six races.
This amounted to some 62 laps of the GP circuit (155 miles) so at least Roy and Dave got their moneys worth.
The bike will now be examined for whatever the problem is with the brake overheating.

The next outing, British Championship at the BSB meeting at Brands Hatch over Easter April 11/12th.
